Laura Castle

Laura Castle has a MA in education leadership from Columbia University and was the founding principal of Acero Brighton Park, a level 1+ K-8 school on Chicago’s Southwest Side. She began her career as a Teach For America corps member in St. Louis, where she taught 11th and 12th grade and later moved to the Chicago region to work as a 5th grade teacher for KIPP. At A Better Chicago, Laura is putting her experience as a founding school leader to work by bringing a deeper understanding of the hurdles administrators face and advancing efforts to support grantees to reach ambitious academic goals.
