Patricia Offer

As Director of Development, Patty brings more than 20 years of experience to her role at A Better Chicago. A development operations specialist, Patty’s background is also deep in campaign and strategic planning, annual giving, team leadership, moves management and donor stewardship. Most recently, she served as Director of Development at Erikson Institute, a leading graduate school for early childhood education in Chicago. 

Prior to Erikson, Patty was at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (SRAlab, formerly the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago). During more than twelve years there, culminating as Executive Director overseeing advancement operations, she was a key member of the teams that completed two capital campaigns: the $50M Transforming Medicine – Transforming Lives Campaign in 2008, and the $350M capital campaign for SRAlab’s new hospital from 2012-2017.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, Patty has lived in Chicago since 1995. She holds a BS in English from Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana.
